Destination Wedding in Faro
Faro, the region of Algarve's capital, is a town of approximately 50,000 people, and is located about 30 miles west of the Spanish border. The city boasts both Arab and Roman ruins and many famous historical sites, such as the18th century Arco da Vila, considered the gateway to the Cathedral Square. This ornamental arch, once the facade of an old palace, is the entrance to a serene plaza. A few miles west of the airport is the small town of LoulÚ, renowned for its superior produce market and for its leather and woodwork handcrafts. Quinta do Lago and Vale de Lobo, popular vacation destinations, are located west of Faro, and both feature seven golf courses, tennis clubs, and holiday resorts.
