In the heart of the city of Porto, lays one of the most charming cafés. The Café is so much more than a café; it is one of the city’s most important landmarks. Built in the 1920’s, it has long been a place where Portuguese nobles and artists have gone in a successful search for inspiration. International figures include J.K. Rowling who spent many days writing Harry Potter here. The Café has also been featured in several national and international films. The Café's intricately appointed interior evokes the glorious era of Porto's golden age and ever since it underwent remodeling in the 1990’s it has even more of a Paris chic to it, making it excellent for poetry reciting, book launching, piano concerts, art expositions and other special events.
Given its unique intimate character it is ideal for small receptions. The open air courtyard, which is accessible by a lovely stone stairway and decorated with Italian sculptures and urns overflowing with colorful flowers, is just perfect for your ceremony!
