A symbolic wedding is perfect for couples who want to renew their vows or do not want to deal with all the legal paperwork issues but who still wish to hold a romantic ceremony in Portugal with all the trimmings. The format is exactly the same as in your home country except that it is not legally binding.
A symbolic wedding:
Is not held by a priest, pastor or any other member of a religious community. We provide an English speaking officiant who performs a purely symbolic ceremony.
Does not require any paperwork.
Receives a symbolic certificate, in hand calligraphy.
May be held anywhere you wish, with no restrictions.
May follow traditional or non-traditional lines.
Includes vows, and whatever other services you wish to incorporate.
