Figo Maduro provide religiose ceremony music. The group is composed out of 5 elements, a mother and her 4 daughters that sing in harmonies and play various instruments. They had their first musical presentation in 2000 when the pope came to visit Portugal’s Military base the Figo Maduro. Madalena the mother has taught 100 children from 4 different institutions to sing for the welcoming of the pope.
Together with her 4 children Madalena has played at many events and given public concerts presenting religious and non-religious music.
They offer two kinds of musical repertoire. One is lighter and guitar based and the other one is more sophisticated where the flute and the violin are the domineering instruments. The have a wide repertoire of songs in various languages, Portuguese, Latin, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
